She has been on clinical exam panels at RMIT for international students and final-year students, and she has also been on the interview panel for prospective chiropractic students.

The techniques employed by Dr. Tsonis include Applied Kinesiology, Functional Biochemistry (e.g. supplementation for MTHFR gene mutation), Visceral Biomechanics, Flexion-Distraction (highly effective for lumbar disc bulges), Laser, Activator Methods, Active-release Techniques, Soft Tissue Techniques, Dry Needling, Blocks, Electric Acupuncture and Exercise Rehabilitation for pre- and post-surgery.

Dr. Tsonis's strengths as a practitioner lie in her diagnostic skills and finding causes for problems. This allows her to reduce recurrences and fix underlying problems, rather than simply addressing symptoms.

Owing to a personal injury Dr Tsonis experienced, she has developed a special interest and extensive knowledge in shoulder injuries and rehabilitation. She uses specific rehabilitation exercises for pre- and post-surgery, helping patients to achieve their best pre-injury state and improve overall recovery time.

In addition to sporting injuries, Dr. Tsonis liaises with podiatric surgeons to assist patients with various foot and postural imbalance issues.

With techniques such as visceral biomechanics and being certified in applied kinesiology, Dr. Tsonis has also helped patients to deal with numerous digestive issues including hiatus hernia symptoms. Dr. Tsonis also treats babies for numerous everyday complaints, such as constipation, reflux, milestone achievements, and irritability.

As well as being trained in spinal disorders, including facet sprains, disc prolapses/bulges, and herniations, Dr. Tsonis uses flexion distraction to help patients with lumbar disc bulges and has had some amazing results. As a result, she frequently receives referrals from other practitioners for this technique.

Dr. Tsonis is a member of the CAA, ICAK, COCA, ASRF, CEA, Sports Chiropractic Association and Sports Medicine Australia.

Suiti Hicks

Remedial Massage Therapist

Suiti is a remedial massage therapist who specialises in Sports Massage. Massage therapy is a way to teach your body to be in tune with itself. Life can get pretty fast and stressful, but if we can learn how to slow down and stay connected to our senses, life becomes more about living and not surviving.

Sometimes the mind can override what the body wants to do. This collision can bring on anxiety and make the body feel stressed.

A treatment session with Suiti will not only make you feel like your better self again, she will also educate you with some tools that can help you deal with stress.

Suiti works with all types of bodies including athletes, pregnancies, desk workers to labourers. Her treatments accommodate and are custom to the client and their experience.

She has helped clients manage chronic health issues with treatment plans, sports injuries including pre and post operations, pregnancies and general pain management.

Suiti focuses on strengthening the health of the body. She uses methods such as PNF stretching, functional cupping, deep tissue and soft tissue massage and Manual Lymphatic Drainage techniques to share her knowledge of the body and how to make it better.

She is excited to be part of the team at Victoria Sports Clinic and looks forward to treating you all.
